What a dental EMR template actually needs to include
Panch Care Team ·
A lot of clinic software treats every specialty's record the same way: a patient name, a visit date, and a free-text notes field. That works poorly for dental practice specifically, where the record is tooth-by-tooth, not visit-by-visit.
Why a generic template falls short
Tracking a treatment plan across multiple teeth and multiple visits in a free-text field means the dentist is doing the structuring work in their head, every single time they open the record.
What we built instead
A dental-specific chart template that structures the record the way a dentist already thinks about a case, so opening a patient's file mid-treatment doesn't require reconstructing the plan from notes.
